A Closer Look at the Elephant Sanctuary in Jaipur

The Elephant Sanctuary is situated in Jaipur and is based at Hathi Gaon. It provides a safe haven to elephants and has been constructed under the guidelines of the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change. The sanctuary accommodates elephant shelters called Haathi Thaans which have been designed specially for this great creature. These services offer elephants open space, proper shelter, and fresh water with an artificial pond for cooling and bathing.

At the core of this sanctuary lies a commitment to the welfare of elephants. Here, in this place, elephants receive nutritious food, regular veterinary care, and the freedom to roam within the large expanse. This is a model of responsible wildlife tourism and conservation in India.
